Veterans, serving personnel, families and local residents united at Page Park for a memorable day of recognition and celebration.
South Gloucestershire Armed Forces Day would like to thank everyone who attended our community event at Page Park on Friday 20 June, helping to create a memorable day celebrating our Armed Forces community, veterans, serving personnel, cadets and their families.
The event brought together local residents, community organisations and supporters for an afternoon of entertainment, information, remembrance and celebration. Visitors enjoyed a fantastic atmosphere with live entertainment, military-themed displays, community stalls and opportunities to meet local charities and organisations that support the Armed Forces community.
The event highlighted the importance of recognising the dedication and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve, while also strengthening the connections between the Armed Forces and the wider South Gloucestershire community.

Chair of South Gloucestershire Armed Forces Day, Ian Campbell, said:
"Our Armed Forces Day event is about bringing people together to celebrate service, recognise our veterans and support our Armed Forces community. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the day, and I would like to thank every volunteer, exhibitor, performer and visitor who helped make the event such a success."
One veteran who attended the event shared their experience:
"It was fantastic to see the community come together like this. The atmosphere was welcoming, there was something for everyone, and it was great catching up with old friends while meeting new people. Days like this remind me that our service is appreciated."

South Gloucestershire Armed Forces Day extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making the event possible, including our volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, entertainers, local partners and emergency services. Their continued support enables us to deliver events that honour our Armed Forces while bringing our community together.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for future events and continuing to celebrate the service, commitment and resilience of our Armed Forces community.
